Facebook Adverts - choose the audiences by location, age, sex, interests and more

In the Previous Article of our series on "Understanding Push Marketing to Digital Marketing Transformation" we discussed using Google as advertising tool; how easy it is for advertiser to reach everywhere on internet digitally and exactly on sites where people are searching for products & services they offer!

I thought that's possibly an end of the world in digital marketing and we might not see anything innovative like this in future; where in advertiser is in better control to reach their target audience seating in any part of the world at nominal cost.

But I was wrong; Google no doubt has largest number of people who search , read mail, view video and bring in huge traffic from its content partner's website; it's not necessary for user to register when they are searching google, visiting partner's site or view video; Yes they need to Login for Gmail but users might not enter everything while creating their profile like on Facebook. So Google knows the number & their place but not always know about their age and sex!

It's very important for me to also cover Facebook's Adverts or Paid Advertisement when I am talking about how our traditional marketing transformed to digital marketing giving superb control in the hands of advertiser for them to decide whom they want to target!

We have seen that traditional marketing's goal was more of visibility and hence it was costly; wherein goal of digital-marketing is showing advertisement to target audience! What if Advertiser been offered to

  • Select country, county/region, postcode or even the area around advertiser's business
  • Choose the audiences that should see your advertisement by age, gender, interests and even the languages they speak.
  • Choose from hundreds of Interest categories your target audience like; such as music, films, sport, games, shopping and so much more to shortlist your target audience.
  • Know their shopping behaviour such as type of phone they use or if they're looking to buy a car or house.
  • Connect More with the people who like your Facebook Page and reach their friends, too.

When I am writing this article in the month of October-2016 Facebook Adverts sites claim this : More than 1.4 billion people use Facebook to connect with what matters to them, and more than 900 million visit every day.

More than 700 million people visit Facebook every day on their phones and tablets – and when they do, they see Facebook Adverts along with stories from family and friends
